The construction industry’s hopeful football stars will be able to swap their toolboxes for their shin pads and show off their skills at this year’s UK Construction Week, in a football tournament held by Construction United.

While the matches are free to enter, and open to any construction company attending or exhibiting at the show, Construction United is asking those participating to fundraise for its charity partners, CRASH, The Prince’s Trust and Time to Change.

Nathan Garnett, event director of UK Construction Week, said: “Construction United is all about bringing the construction industry together, and as the UK’s largest event for anyone in construction, so is UK Construction Week.

“We are delighted to have partnered in this exciting football tournament, which is already creating a massive buzz around the industry. We are anticipating 30,000 people at the NEC over three days, so this is the perfect opportunity for some competitive fun in front of colleagues from up and down the country.”
