Travis Perkins celebrates a year of keeping fit with British Military Fitness

Published:  15 August, 2016

Travis Perkins and British Military Fitness are celebrating a year of partnership, which forms part of Travis Perkins’ commitment to employees’ health and wellbeing. The partnership has resulted in 120 dedicated British Military Fitness lunchtime sessions with Travis Perkins and Wickes over the last 12 months.

Carol Kavanagh, HR director at Travis Perkins, said: “Travis Perkins has been working in partnership with British Military Fitness for a year now. The well being of our employees is hugely important not only as a workplace perk but to encourage a healthy lifestyle that in turn improves motivation and attitude.

“We have around 2,000 employees at our head office and across a number of our 20 plus businesses in Northampton alone, so we offer them the opportunity to have a 60 minute workout with qualified British Military Fitness instructors. The sessions have been especially crafted to suit a range of abilities and they take place twice a week on campus. We've seen some fantastic wellbeing results largely because employees are given the chance to squeeze a workout into their busy working week.”
