Now the warmer weather is finally here, homeowners are starting to consider the jobs they have been neglecting during the winter months. This includes updating the look and feel of their home.

Recent statistics show that DIY is still in decline, with 40% of homeowners preferring to get a professional in to complete jobs for them. This provides trade professionals with an ideal opportunity to promote their services in order to maximise profits over the summer months.

Many homeowners think about investing in home improvements before the school holiday period starts, as many families are away from home for long periods of time between July and August, and therefore want to get jobs ticked off their list before they jet off on holiday.

By stocking the right mix of home improvement products during this time of year, merchants are able to meet the needs of their customers and capitalise on a profitable time of year.
