Russell Roof Tiles launches long service awards

Published:  16 June, 2016

Russell Roof Tiles is recognising and rewarding staff who have had a long and successful career at the firm with the launch of its long service awards.

Designed to honour the loyalty of company employees who have worked at Russell Roof Tiles for 25, 35 and 40 years, the bronze, silver and gold awards acknowledge the hard work and commitment shown by those at the firm who have seen the business grow over the years.

One recent recipient of the award, Russell Roof Tiles’ national operations support manager, Alex Gilroy, who started his career at the Lochmaben plant and has been at the company for 40 years, has been given a gold long service award.

He said: “A lot has changed during my time at Russell Roof Tiles and I can honestly say I’ve enjoyed it all. I have built a fulfilling career with the company and this award simply re-emphasizes that my hard work is appreciated.”

As well as acknowledging the loyalty of its longest-serving employees, Russell Roof Tiles also offers cash bonuses, up to a maximum of £500, for long service as well as additional days of annual leave, awarding up to an additional five days for employees with 40 or more years’ service.

Managing director Andrew Hayward said: “These long service awards recognise the continued hard work and passion shown by our employees. We’ve already presented nine awards so far over the last few months and we’re delighted that so many at Russell Roof Tiles have had a satisfying and successful career with us and we would like to say thank you for their loyalty and commitment over the years.”
