TRADITIONAL LOOKS, GROUND-BREAKING INNOVATION: NEW INDUSTRY-LEADING CLAY PANTILE OFFERS SALES OPPORTUNITY
Published: 05 April, 2016
A new first-of-its-kind, easy-to-fix clay pantile, Lincoln has been launched by Marley Eternit, offering a unique sales opportunity for merchants.
Combining break through innovation and traditional aesthetics, the new Lincoln has been developed to meet market needs. It features a classic clay pantile s-curve profile with thin leading edge. It also benefits from low pitch capability – down to a minimum roof pitch of just 17.5 degrees at 120mm headlap – and a completely ‘open gauge’ design to speed-up installation and make fixing as simple as a concrete roof tile.
To ensure it stands up to the testing conditions faced by modern roofs, it has also been extensively tested for wind driven rain and can meet the requirements of BS 5534 and NHBC Technical Standards, as Lincoln is available with a comprehensive range of traditional clay fittings and accessories. Cross-selling opportunities are also available to merchants as Lincoln is compatible with Marley Eternit’s Universal systems and Mortar Hip and Ridge fixing kits.
Merchants can offer an even quicker installation option for contractors as Lincoln can also be used with Marley Eternit’s one-piece tile clip, SoloFix, which can save up to 30% roof clipping time compared to traditional fixing.
Sarah Jackson, marketing product manager at Marley Eternit, comments: “Lincoln represents a unique sales opportunity for merchants. We’ve focused on developing a product range which meets current and future needs of UK contractors and merchants are now able to offer a truly first-of-its-kind product as a result. What’s more, Lincoln’s compatibility with Marley Eternit’s range of fixings and Universal accessories ensures merchants can maximise their margins, reduce their stock holding and provide their customers with a complete roofing solution.
“The new pantile balances design with ease and speed of installation to deliver a versatile option for contractors wanting to complement the local vernacular with traditional looks and overcome labour and time challenges on site.
“The Lincoln range is being extensively promoted from launch and our sales team will work with merchants to ensure they have the support needed to maximise the business opportunity presented by this exciting launch.”
Available in Natural Red and Rustic Red, the Lincoln is suitable for new housebuilding, commercial projects, refurbishments and extension work. Featuring a single lap, it is an economical clay roof covering with approximately 15 tiles per m2.
