Independent plumbing and heating supplier Pochin has opened a new outlet in Corby, its first in Northamptonshire.

Three jobs have initially been created at the new trade counter on Corby’s Whittle Road, which will supply bathroom, heating and plumbing products to installers and consumers. Pochin’s Corby branch is being managed by Ben Walkerdine and supported by Tom Jones, with one additional role currently being filled.

The premises have been improved and fitted out by Pochin, which is headquartered in Leicester. The 155-year-old business has been steadily expanding in recent years. Pochin has traded successfully in Market Harborough for a decade, where Mr Walkerdine has been based, and recently added new outlets in the West Midlands.

Pochin sales director Pete Trickett said: “Corby is a fast growing town in a vibrant part of Northamptonshire where we identified the opportunity for a strong independent supplier to come in and service the local market.”

Pochin offers a next-day delivery service – and where possible a same-day service – and has built its service led reputation on supporting domestic heating and plumbing installers.
