SIG Distribution introduces new sales team structure

Published:  08 March, 2016

In a move to pair specialist customers with specialist sales and support staff, SIG Distribution has announced the creation of two new senior posts.

The change sees former divisional managing directors David Hope and David Henderson assume responsibility for the business' sales and marketing, and branch operations functions, respectively.

In his new role of sales and marketing director, David Hope will oversee the creation of sales teams for each of SIG Distribution's brands, creating a 'one team' mentality, while ensuring that customers have access not only to the widest range of products available in the UK, but to sales staff that are experts in their field.

Heading up a revised five region structure for the company's specialist business centres, David Henderson's appointment to operations director will see him assume responsibility for all in branch activity and act as a reporting point for the company's regional directors.

Paul Gordon, managing director at SIG Distribution, said: "Our ethos has long been about providing customers with the best service possible, and these changes solidify that commitment. We want to make best use of the sheer scale of our reach and number of branches to ensure that all of our customers have access to the same level of products and expertise, regardless of which specialist centre they deal with. This means having strong leadership that can unify all of our regions to act as one team and take advantage of our position as number one in our field, which I'm certain David Hope and David Henderson will provide."
