Multipoint locks make up a staggering 80% of the UK lock market, and with tens of thousands failing each year, Yale’s revolutionary range of Doormaster™ replacement multipoint locks allow merchants to capitalise on a number of sales opportunities.

Over the past two decades, over 22 million PVCu and composite doors have been fitted throughout the UK, but now many older multipoint locks are reaching the end of their lifecycle.

Until now, there has been a limited choice of replacement multipoint locks available on the market, especially genuine ‘like for like’ replacements, meaning that end users have resorted to replacing their entire door. The speed of availability and the sheer number of lock lines required to replace existing locks has also made it difficult for merchants to service this market effectively.

Yale’s Doormaster™ range of replacement multipoint locks allows builders’ merchants to offer a ready solution to trade professionals, thanks to a cleverly designed, compact range of replacement locks.

The range includes a Professional series, developed with professional door experts in mind, which utlises 'crop and mate' technology to provide a suitable replacement multipoint lock for the majority of PVCu, timber and composite doors. This range consists of just five SKUs, making it an ideal solution for the mobile professional, ensuring the job can be completed quickly without the need to replace the existing lock 'like for like'.

The range also includes the Doormaster™ Adjustable, a high security DIY fit solution for PVCu doors, as well as a one-piece Universal Doormaster™ multipoint lock for PVCu doors.

Also forming part of Yale’s Doormaster™ offering is a range of replacement gearboxes for many of the most popular multipoint locks, as well as replacement ‘overnight locks’, which cover 90% of the market where temporary door security is required.

Last but by no means least, the range includes the PAS 3261 Doormaster™ – the first retrofit multipoint lock in the market that allows users to maintain accreditation on existing PAS 24 doors, without needing to fit exactly the same lock as was supplied with the door. PAS 3621 is now specified as the benchmark standard for multipoint locks in The Building Regulations’ Approved Document Q, mirroring the BS 3621 standard for locks fitted to external wooden doors. This gives a distinct advantage to trade professionals, as a suitable replacement can be fitted on an initial visit from a small range of van stock, as opposed to ordering a lock and repeating the visit at a later date to complete the installation.

For merchants stocking the new range, a special full colour merchandiser is available, which also features Kitemarked euro profile cylinders, replacement handles and letterplates. As it makes sense to upgrade the security and appearance of the existing door at the same time as replacing the multipoint lock, products such as cylinders and replacement door furniture represent ideal add-on sales for both trade professionals and merchants alike.

The new Yale Doormaster™ range creates powerful sales opportunities for merchants. For the first time, there is a complete solution for replacement multipoint locks, available from a trusted consumer brand.
