NMBS has announced its full line-up of speakers for the 2016 Conference, which is taking place in Lanzarote on 16 to 19 June.

In conjunction with Kevin Parr from PGS, NMBS has worked hard to put together the right mix of business speakers on both a strategic and operational level.

The Buying Society is especially pleased to announced that Matthew Gwyther will be this year's Conference host. Mr Gwyther has edited Management Today magazine for the last 13 years and has won the coveted BSME Business Magazine Editor of the Year on a record five occasions. He is ideally suited to keeping the Conference on track.

The business sessions will start with David Smith, economics editor of the Sunday Times. He is a welcome return by popular demand to the All-Industry Conference, following feedback from delegates wishing to hear the views of a leading economist.

New to the Conference, and flying in from the USA, will be the Key Note Speaker for day one, Christina Harbridge. Ms Harbridge aims to bring something exciting and refreshing to the conference session, by creating networking opportunities in a relaxed environment, while stimulating thinking on key disciplines such as leadership. Her session will be highly interactive and, to quote Ms Harbridge, "will not be a lecture, but a way of helping people experience stuff and then integrate it to their business".

During her career she has helped to build and lead a very successful major business in the US and has now gainfully employed herself in a new venture as "Chief Mischief Officer" where she gives practical advice to companies on uncovering the underlying behaviors around communication that effect overall performance and employee well-being. NMBS is confident that she will bring a breath of fresh air to the whole conference format and learning experience for all delegates.

On a practical basis, delegates will be hearing from Brian Holliday, who is managing director for Siemens Digital Factory which serves the UK, Ireland, Nigeria and Ghana. He is a supervisory board member for the British High Value Manufacturing Catapults, which seek to stimulate growth through innovation in manufacturing. Mr Holliday will be sharing his thoughts on increasing productivity across every type of business.

Deri Llewellyn-Davis is known as the 'strategy man'. He is a speaker, entrepreneur, adventurer and author and he will be showing his unique, accessible and tangible 'strategy on a page' methodology, which helps leaders in both FTSE 500 and independent companies to take their businesses (and themselves) to the next level.

Leading the Conferences' thoughts on dealing with perpetual change and how to think differently about the future of business, society and technology will be international speaker Jonathan McDonald. He is an acclaimed author and entrepreneur who expands people's thinking around the potential of technology, the shaping of society and the realities of doing successful business in a fast-paced and ever changing world.

Again, on a practical basis, NMBS is pleased to welcome the input of Kerridge Commercial Systems, who will give a real world insight into 'Making Online Work for your Business'. Their presentation will include an industry overview, key trends and factors that can impact your business effectiveness online and how you can best approach them, including having an e-commerce presence and how this can be effectively linked with social channels such as Facebook, Twitter and Linked-In.

Back again by popular demand will be Shed Simove, who will be updating the Conference on his latest product ideas and initiatives to help grow not just your business, but your own thoughts and ideas. Mr Simove will bring his own unique and very personable style to the event and we know he will both amuse us and leave us all feeling that much more invigorated from having attended his session.

Mark Rhodes will have the responsibility for wrapping up day one, again in his own humorous and entertaining way. Mr Rhodes is an established industry speaker, mentor and trainer in achieving sales success, who will infuse delegates with his expert skill set of analysing what to do, when to do it and how do it, with the right mindset (Belief, Confidence and Motivation).

The Key Note Speaker for day two is Verne Harnish, the founder of the world-renowned Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO). For 15 years, he chaired EO's premiere CEO program, the 'Birthing of Giants' and WEO's 'Advanced Business' executive program, both held at MIT. Founder and CEO of Gazelles, a global executive education and coaching company with over 150 coaching partners on six continents, Mr Harnish has spent the past three decades helping companies to scale-up.

The 'Growth Guy' syndicated columnist, he's also the Venture columnist for FortuneE magazine and the author of Scaling Up (Rockefeller Habits 2.0); and Mastering the Rockefeller Habits. Along with the editors of Fortune, he authored "The Greatest Business Decisions of All Times", for which Jim Collins wrote the foreword.

Mr Harnish also chairs Fortune Magazine's annual Leadership and Growth Summits and serves on several boards including chairman of The Riordan Clinic and the newly-launched Geoversity.

Following Mr Harnish will be NMBS' other Key Note Speaker Rene Carayol. Mr Carayol brings together the gravitas of blue chip businesses with the theatre of television and radio. Combining insight and inspirational advice gained from spending time in boardrooms all over the world, he has the ability to make the complex simple and has the ability to inspire even the most cynical to change. NMBS believes he will act as a very good anchor for bringing together all the learning from the previous two days.

In addition to the designated speaker presentations, NMBS will also be running optional master classes to allow a more closer and personal interaction with some of the speakers, so that people may ask their own business-specific questions in a smaller forum.

A formal agenda for the Conference will follow, along with more detailed biographies on all the speakers.
