Bassetts, a bathroom, heating and tile merchant in Northern Ireland, has recently opened a new 'Simply Bathrooms' showroom within the heart of the Boucher Road retail area in Belfast, as well as expanding the showrooms in two of its County Londonderry branches.

The new store will showcase Bassett's range of bathroom and tile designs in a designer showroom setting. In addition, expansions to the North West branches include new showroom openings at both locations, with Bassetts Coleraine doubling in size and the Derry-Londonderry branch launching the company's first tile studio.

The announcement marks a significant milestone for the business, which will soon have a network of 14 branches across Northern Ireland.

Bassetts marked this milestone with a special event at its new flagship Belfast store, which includes Bassetts' Visualiser technology, offering customers a virtual tool to design their own bathroom.

The company, which is now part of the Saint-Gobain Group, has almost tripled in size over the last seven years.

Managing director of Bassetts, Alan Wright, said: "We are delighted to announce plans to open a Boucher Road branch, alongside extensive branch expansions in L'Derry and Coleraine. Despite the difficulties that many national retailers may be facing in the home improvement market, our bathroom, plumbing and heating business has gone from strength to strength. In recent months, we have seen an increasing number of homeowners choosing to renovate or improve their homes.

"We are committed to offering our trade customers an expanded range of options and to plug the gap in offering stylish and affordable heating and plumbing solutions for newbuilds."

Bassetts has branches in Bangor, Belfast, Coleraine, Downpatrick, Dungannon, Lisburn, L’Derry, Mallusk, Greencastle, Newry, Portadown and Omagh.
