Five long-standing employees of Pipe Center and Climate Center, demonstrating a combined service of more than 150 years, have been awarded Hall of Fame status for their outstanding contribution to the business and industry.

The Hall of Fame was officially launched last year to honour and celebrate long-serving and dedicated personnel from across the Pipe Center and Climate Center businesses.

This year the accolade was presented to:

  • Dave Woodberry, branch manager at Pipe and Climate Center Basildon
  • Louise Powell, branch manager at Climate Center Hampshire
  • Tony Peers, branch manager at Pipe Center Manchester
  • John Davies, branch manager at Pipe Center Gloucester
  • Martin Cook, branch manager at Pipe Center Greenford.

Dave Woodberry was commended for 40 years' service and successfully relocating his Pipe Center and Climate Center branch to a new facility in Basildon. Despite moving 'home', during this period the branch achieved record sales.

Louise Powell was also acknowledged for 30 years' service and for helping the Hampshire branch to become a well-known distributor in the region.

Similarly, John Davies' endearing support towards colleagues in the last 33 years was also recognised, as well as Martin Cook's 25 years of training many other branch managers and Tony Peers' 25 years of product and industry knowledge.

Managing director Andy Wighton presented the awards at the company's recent annual conference. He said: "The 2015 Hall of Fame winners are all extremely respected within the business itself, as well as in the wider industry. We are very proud to have them working with us to develop the company and the sector it operates in.

"The length of service across both the Pipe Center and Climate Center businesses is phenomenal, so we are keen to celebrate the achievements of the people that make a difference. They are all shining examples that their peers should wish to follow in the footsteps of."
