Gorilla Glue Europe has become a partner of the Rainy Day Trust charity.

The Rainy Day Trust (RDT) supports industry professionals of the home improvement and enhancement sectors, providing them with support such as assisting with the payment of utility bills, household maintenance, travel expenses and residential fees.

Simon Damp, managing director of Gorilla Glue Europe, said: "We're really proud to have partnered with The Rainy Day Trust. They are a unique charity who provide help and support to home improvement professionals and this is a cause we really wanted to champion, so we're looking forward to all the aspects that Gorilla Glue can get involved with."

Becoming a partner with the Trust will allow Gorilla Glue the opportunity to be involved in regular events run by the Trust, helping to raise awareness of the company and to aid employees of the DIY trade. The partner scheme was set up in 2011 by the Trust, and has since seen dozens of companies sign up to lend their support to the charity.

Gorilla Glue Europe has seen rapid growth over the past year, and continues to grow steadily since its introduction into the UK in 2008. Partnering up with the Rainy Day Trust clearly cements its place in the DIY trade, showing its support to the industry.

Bryan Clover, CEO at the Rainy Day Trust, added: "We are delighted to welcome Gorilla Glue as Partners supporting the invaluable work we do for those in financial need."

With over one million current and past employees of the home improvement trade, the Rainy Day Trust has seen an alarming growth in the number of applications submitted for assistance from those who have seen their working life tragically cut short, and the support of companies like Gorilla Glue Europe can make all the difference when it comes to providing someone with the help and support they need to get them back on their feet.
