New appointment at Encon Insulation

Published:  10 November, 2015

Encon Insulation has promoted James Rowlands to the position of regional sales manager for builders’ merchants for London and the South East.

Mr Rowlands joined Encon eight years ago and has developed through several senior sales roles and has been instrumental in developing a successful merchant business in London and the South East.

This is a new role created to allow Encon to focus on the huge merchant opportunity that presents itself in the region, with Mr Rowlands working closely with Mike Beard – merchant development director.

Mr Rowlands will be responsible for managing the external sales force, driving sales, developing new business opportunities and implementing new marketing strategies.

He said: “Since the day Encon first opened its doors for trading, back in 1981, the merchant sector has been an integral and important part of its customer portfolio. The Encon ethos of supporting and trading with merchants has been cascaded to and is supported by all its locations nationwide.

Being independent, Encon can focus on the drivers needed to support builders' merchants, where excellent service and value are paramount and we look forward to continuing to develop the Encon/merchant partnerships, locally, regionally and nationally.”
