Arbor Forest Products has announced the appointment of Phil Yell as its new operations manager.

Mr Yell has taken charge of the day-to-day running of Arbor’s sawmill facility in New Holland, as well as its MDF mill, storage yard, and the company’s logistics department.

Having come from a role as operations manager at washing service specialists Safetykleen UK, Mr Yell brings with him a wealth of experience in managing the operations of an international business, according to his new employer.

Part of his role at Arbor will be to roll out a new training initiative that embodies the principle of continuous improvement throughout the company and helps staff to solve everyday production and logistic issues.

Mr Yell said: “I am delighted to join such a well-respected and established, family-run company.

“At Arbor, there is a highly skilled and committed team of people and I hope to be able to work with them to further grow the business, improve our processing efficiencies, and provide even better delivery performance to our customers.”
