Metsa Wood UK has added three new members of staff to its expanding team.

Patrick Towner has joined the company as sales director, responsible for the commercial development of joinery redwood and whitewood sales, both direct from Finland and Russia and also from landed sites within the UK.

Mr Towner has a vast amount of industry knowledge and experience having previously worked for UPM-Kymmene UK and also as sales director at Stamco Timber.

Meanwhile, Chris Jordan has been appointed as national sales manager for the UK’s independent builders’ merchants channel.

Mr Jordan has an extensive background in marketing, sales and account management, having spent nearly 15 years’ working at Youngman Group. He aims to grow the channel by further enhancing Metsa’s operational efficiency and a sustained excellence in performance.

The final appointment is Gareth Busson (pictured) who has joined Metsa Wood UK as its new marketing manager for the timber and upgrades channels.

With an MSc in strategic marketing, combined with nearly 20 years’ experience of working with brands such as Yale and Chubb, Mr Busson aims to support and grow the company’s commercial offering in the UK.
