Tour de Jewson returns for fifth annual charity fundraising event
Published: 18 August, 2015
Jewson has announced the return of its Tour de Jewson cycling challenge, with the aim of raising more than £50,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
For the fifth consecutive year, people up and down the country will be cycling Britain’s roads to raise money for charity.
On the 12 September, cyclists will set off from seven different locations around the UK, pausing at pit-stops en-route for refreshments and converging six days later at the Jewson head office in Binley, Coventry.
The company is hoping the event will raise £52,700, which would help fund a Macmillan Nurse for a year and provide essential care for those affected by cancer.
Jewson has made an appeal for cyclists, support drivers and pit-stop hosts of all ages to get involved, with the Tour de Jewson open for entry to everyone. Participants are encouraged to cycle a distance of their choosing.
