MIDLANDS BASED ELIZA TINSLEY MOVES WAREHOUSING TO LARGER PREMISES

Due to ongoing expansion, market leading hardware distributor Eliza Tinsley Ltd have outgrown their warehousing and distribution facilities in Wednesbury. The majority of the company’s products have now been relocated to a 120,000 sq2 state of the art facility in Brighouse which is ideally placed for the motorway network. The company has added an additional 10,000 pallet spaces, which when combined with a number of important new distribution deals, and a significant investment in stock earlier this year, means that the customers will receive a first class service from Eliza Tinsley Ltd.
The company operates a program of continuous improvement and investment and this move provides much needed storage facilities for the company’s continually increasing product range which consists of chain, rope, fixings, hook and loop and other gate hardware and fencing items. Products are available in several formats from bulk packed to attractively packaged displays and are supplied to the DIY, agricultural, building and garden sectors in both home and export markets.
Eliza Tinsley Ltd was founded in 1851 by Eliza Tinsley herself and has had a long and successful trading history, steeped in tradition. In 2006 the Jain family acquired the business and Eliza Tinsley Ltd became part of a global group that employs over 5000 employees across their portfolio of companies. This has enabled the competitive sourcing of products from its own supply base.
There are other exciting changes taking place at Eliza Tinsley at the moment including a major upgrade of the company’s ERP system and major expenditure on new products.

The company though is not set to rest on any laurels. More investment is expected in 2015 both in product and stock, while the in-house design team is always looking to improve on existing products and bring new ones to market.
