Gibbs & Dandy builders’ merchant is to open a new branch in Leeds to cater for growing demand in the region.

The new branch is part of the company’s wider investment in Yorkshire, becoming the third in the area as it joins others located in Pudsey and Huddersfield respectively.

It will open on Monday 3 August, selling a wide variety of materials to suit all building needs, including general building materials such as bricks, block, insulation and plasterboard. There will be a drive-thru timber shed stocking timber, sheet materials and PSE mouldings, which will also offer timber-cutting services.

As part of the expansion plans in Yorkshire, Gibbs & Dandy will be looking to appoint local people to various new roles.

Gibbs & Dandy’s managing director, Neil Lawrence, said: “This new branch will complement the other two in Pudsey and Huddersfield and help cement our position as the go-to local merchant that you can trust. The wider growth of the Gibbs & Dandy network is a reflection of our recent successes and our customer first culture.
