Ten years of Hamilton training

Professional decorating supplies company Hamilton is celebrating 10 years of its college training programme.

The programme, which operates in 180 colleges nationwide, offers expert advice to up-and-coming professional painters and decorators.

Hamilton aims to support colleges, their lecturers and students by highlighting the benefits of using professional equipment.

Mark Davies, technical manager at Hamilton, said: “We work closely with lecturers who teach painting techniques to give emphasis to the tools of the trade. With our lively presentations, we strive to help each student think like a professional, and that their ‘finish is their reputation’. By giving them the opportunity to use premium products, to find out about their construction and how to care for them, helps this learning process.”

In addition, Hamilton runs student awards to provide a focus for improvement. The Awards are open to all colleges taking part in the programme, with up to two per college, per year. A prize of £150 worth of Hamilton Perfection products and a personalised certificate is also up for grabs.
