Ross Thomas is branch manager of GB Plastics' new store in Oswestry.

New manager appointed at GB Plastics new Oswestry branch

Published:  13 May, 2015

General Building Plastics (GB Plastics) has appointed Ross Thomas as branch manager of its new trade counter in Oswestry.

Mr Thomas has worked in the building products industry for over 10 years, most recently as branch manager of the Telford depot of Venture Building Plastics, now part of the Epwin Group.

GB Plastics’ new 6,500 sq ft unit is in a prime location on Oswestry’s Maes-y-Clawdd and stocks the company’s widest range of products of all of its six branches across the Midlands.

GB Plastics is currently recruiting for two full-time staff to work alongside Mr Thomas at the Oswestry branch.

Wendy Hill, director of GB Plastics, said: “We have had a branch in Shrewsbury since 1997, which has secured GB Plastics a very strong presence and loyal customer base in the area. The new Oswestry branch represents a logical step for the company as we add to our network of trade counters and branches in key locations across the Midlands.

“The time is right to open a trade counter in Oswestry so that we can offer our existing customers an even better service and we hope to supply local builders and roofers who up until now haven’t had the benefit of a dedicated UPVC stockist on their doorstep. Ross’s experience and knowledge of the building products sector will be invaluable to this important new location for the business.”

The Oswestry branch can be found at:

Unit 2 Aspect House, Maes-y-Clawdd, Oswestry, SY10 8NN.
