Building industry directors sought for Trustmark Board

Representatives from the building industry are being sought to join the Board of TrustMark, the government-endorsed scheme for all trades in and around the home.
TrustMark has two vacancies on its Board, which are coming up for election this summer. A trade director is needed to support TrustMark’s programme of innovation and the development of new products and services for tradespeople, while a non-trade director is being sought with insight and experience in consumer empowerment and consumer protection policy.
TrustMark always ensures there is an equal balance between trade and non-trade interests on the Board. Directors are elected for a three-year term. They receive a small annual remuneration and currently meet about six times a year. In addition they attend Forum meetings (around four a year) and may also get involved in working groups or other areas of the business as required.
