Rudridge sponsors Ultimate Strongman competition

Published:  17 April, 2015

Rudridge is to sponsor the Ultimate Strongman – World’s Ultimate Strongest Team Championships event, ahead of its full sponsorship of the Belfast Ultimate Strongman Giant Weekend in August.

The event, which takes place on Saturday 30 May at the Britannia Stadium in Stoke-on-Trent, is one of only a handful of team shows in the Strongman area. Eight teams of two from around the globe will battle it out with log lifts, deadlifts and two-on-two wrestling competitions, never before seen in the Strongman championship, vying for world domination. The event will feature the UK’s strongest man, Ed Hall, who has recently broken the World Dead Lift Record, lifting weights of 462kg.

There will be something for the whole family to enjoy at the event including live music from Staffordshire-based band Matrix Club Matrix, bouncy castles, jugglers, balloon animal artists, and the opportunity to ‘have a go’ at some of the Strongman events with prizes up for grabs.

Darren Price, business development manager at Rudridge, said: “We are extremely excited to be a part of the World’s Ultimate Strongest Team Championships and are looking forward to the event, ahead of the Belfast Ultimate Strongman Giant Weekend in August, where we will feature as the main sponsor.”
