Wickes to stock Active Products' Dansand No Weed

Published:  31 March, 2015

Wickes has made Dansand No Weed available online and in 149 of its stores, according to Active Products UK, the exclusive distributor of the product.

Established in 2003, the Essex-based Active Products business has built a strong reputation among the trade for creating high quality, sensibly priced products across handheld lighting, gardening and DIY products.

Active Products has secured a number of exclusive UK distributorships, including US-based Turtle Wax and Dansand No Weed from Danish company Dansand A/S.

The range of Dansand No Weed products have proven particularly popular with landscapers, builders and homeowners as an effective range of environmentally friendly joint-filling products that inhibits weed growth on patios, pavements and driveways, according to the company.

Wickes DIY will be stocking a number of products from the Dansand range, including;

  • No Weed Block Paving Sand, with a stylish light colour
  • No Weed Stone Dust for paving for dark joints
  • No Weed Polymeric Paving Joint Fix for jointing and repairing paving.

The naturally high pH value helps to create desert-like conditions making it effective at inhibiting weed growth and germination. The Dansand products are water resistant, long lasting and eco-friendly, and suitable for use on new and old stone and block paving, driveways, patios, tiles or bricks.

Ted McLoughlin, sales director at Active Products, said: "We are delighted that Wickes will be making our range of No Weed products available across their network of stores and online. The Dansand brand makes a great fit with Wickes, where quality, product performance and value for money is paramount."
