Keyline is to open a new branch in Lincoln, to provide an increased product range to customers in the heavy building materials, rail, utilities, civils and drainage sectors.

The expanded offering includes plastic and concrete drainage, castings, geotextiles, geogrids, ducting and BS grade heavyside products. The target market is national and regional contractors, national and regional housebuilders, groundworkers, water authorities, and rail contractors. The branch also features Keyline's new branding throughout.

The branch location was identified by Keyline as a target area to support the company's nationwide expansion plan, as it is within an hour of local project sites. With good access to the A46 and A15, the Lincoln branch is well placed to serve major utilities, road, and housebuilding projects planned for the area, including AMP6 utilities projects for Severn Trent Water and Anglian Water and a substantial housebuilding development at Teal Park, just outside Lincoln.

Branch manager Grahame Williams, who comes to Keyline from Lincoln firm Civils & Lintels, has 22 years' experience in the independent civils' merchant sector in Lincolnshire, and brings with him invaluable knowledge of the local market.

The new Lincoln branch will complement the company's existing branches in Scunthorpe and Alford. Lincoln also features a 450-square metre modular-built warehouse, two 26-tonne crane vehicles and a range of specialised lifting equipment.

David Gardner, regional director, north at Keyline, commented: "With an increased stock of civils, drainage and heavyside materials to support our direct to site business on a host of major projects, our new Lincoln outlet has a major role in supporting our key customers in the region, backed up by expert advice in branch. The opening of this branch represents Keyline’s increasing specialisation in the important sectors we operate in."
