Makita powers into BMF membership

Published:  10 March, 2015

The Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) is celebrating the start of the new financial year with another supplier member - Makita - who will join the Federation on 1 April.

Barry Smart, national sales manager, Makita (UK), said: “Makita has a close relationship with builders’ merchants and their customers. Our power tools are an essential part of a tradesperson’s kit. We are looking forward to playing a full part in the BMF, the leading trade body for the building supply chain.”

John Newcomb, managing director of the BMF, added: “I’m delighted to welcome Makita to the BMF. Our aim is to represent the interests of every merchant and supplier to the merchanting industry. Companies, such as Makita, that supply equipment for use by the building trade are as much a part of the supply chain as those manufacturing materials for use in construction, and I am looking forward to working with them.”
