Sydenhams’ new branch in Abingdon.

Sydenhams adds to its branch network

Published:  06 March, 2015

Sydenhams has opened a new branch in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, having bought builders’ merchant F Knight & Sons for an undisclosed sum.

Having opened six branches in the last three years, this latest site takes Sydenhams to 28 branches.

Chris Carter, purchasing director at Sydenhams, said: “We are very pleased to bring F Knight & Sons of Abingdon into the Sydenhams portfolio. Much like Sydenhams, it is a well-respected, family-run company who serves its local area well. This will be our first high-street branch, and offers an exciting opportunity with a different product and customer mix to what we are used to.”

Mr Carter added: “We plan to continue the great work F Knight & Sons has done over the years, and we will invest in enhancing the product and service offering to both trade and retail customers.”
