Mike Limburn is manager of Gibbs & Dandy’s Portsmouth branch.

From trainee to manager

Published:  12 December, 2014

Builders' merchant, Gibbs & Dandy, has appointed Mike Limburn as the manager of its Portsmouth branch.

Mr Limburn, who has 16 years’ experience in the merchant industry, began his career as a branch trainee learning about the various aspects of the job, such as working in the yard, the office and on the sales counter. A rapid rise led to him being promoted to branch supervisor just four years later.

Over the years, Mr Limburn has built up a wealth of knowledge and experience that has helped him climb the career ladder, from assistant branch manager to his current role.

He said: “I’m really looking forward to working for Gibbs & Dandy and I’m excited about this new challenge. I’m a local so I have great knowledge of the immediate and surrounding areas.

“I consider myself a people person with a passion for sales and I can’t wait to build relationships with new colleagues, customers and suppliers, as well as maintain and strengthen existing ones.”
