The Jewson Pro Build Training Tour has been launched to provide vital support for trade professionals.

Free to attend, the events offer customers the chance to gain updates on the latest product innovations, talk to the experts about best practice installation methods and ensure compliance with changing Building Regulations.

Suitable for experienced trade professionals and apprentice builders, there is no need to pre-register. Attendees can simply drop in and pay a visit to the Jewson Pro Build Tour vehicle when calling in to their local Jewson branch between 8.00am and 14.00pm. The tour will kick-off in the South West of England throughout November and December.

Experienced staff from Jewson and Greenworks will be hosting the Jewson Pro Build Tour and the training vehicle will feature products from leading manufacturers. The first phase of the tour will include representatives from British Gypsum, providing updates and demonstrations of the latest plaster and plasterboard solutions.

Jewson has long championed the benefits of continued education and training for trade professionals and apprentices. The builders’ merchant developed the information for the Jewson Pro Build Tour based on a high level of customer interest, the popularity of courses at the Greenworks Training Academy as well as market drivers.

As such, current topics for the tour will include the implications of the latest changes to Part L of the Building Regulations, with a specific focus on Standard Assessment Procedures (SAP).

“As a merchant, we are in an ideal position to facilitate education and training, adding value for our customers. Whether you are an experienced trade professional looking for updates on product, methods and regulations or a young apprentice who requires a higher level of support, our new Pro Build Tour is designed to help,” explained Peter Young, project leader for the Pro Build Tour at Jewson.

“Finding time to attend training courses – and the money – can sometimes be difficult for many so the events are free to attend. Customers can stay for as little or as long they can - or need to. The Jewson Pro Build Tour will provide access to information alongside the chance to get stuck in with practical exercises. We thoroughly encourage customers to take advantage of the opportunity.”
