Chandlers Building Supplies and Lewes Ladies FC are joining forces and supporting each other.

The branch is sponsoring Lewes Ladies FC defender, Rebecca Thompson, and the team has announced that, as the Cystic Fibrosis Trust is their charity of the year, they will be donating all money raised to the Chandlers £50k Challenge appeal.

The Chandlers £50k Challenge is aiming to raise £50,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust in honour of Chandlers’ employee Rob Sadler, a Cystic Fibrosis sufferer himself.

The appeal has so far raised £35,000 and Chandlers is delighted that the figure will be boosted by the support of Lewes Ladies FC. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is close to the hearts of everyone associated with the club, as 12-year-old ‘superfan’, Emma Roberts, has the condition.

Ms Thompson said: “I am absolutely honoured to have been sponsored by Chandlers and be part of a team that will be working hard to raise money for a well deserved cause.”

Stuart Campbell, branch manager at Chandlers Lewes, added: “Everyone at Chandlers would like to say a big thank you to Lewes Ladies FC for supporting our Chandlers £50k Challenge Cystic Fibrosis appeal. It will certainly give it a big boost. We’re delighted to be sponsoring Rebecca and wish her and the rest of the team all the best for the remainder of the season.”
