Harbur completes Barrowford housing development

Harbur Construction has completed a £1.5m housing scheme at a former mill site in East Lancashire.

The Vale Mews development, which comprises 14 semi-detached town houses, is located at the former Caldervale Mill off Lower Clough Street in the Pendle town of Barrowford.

Harbur Construction built the three-bedroom, four-storey homes on behalf of private housebuilder Rainbow Homes, which took over the scheme from previous developers.

“It’s been fulfilling to help bring the scheme back to life and regenerate a key part of the community,” said Christian Bury, managing director at Harbur Construction. “The properties have been built sensitively using stone-clad exterior to fit in with the character of the surroundings, while offering contemporary living for residents.”

Andrew Aindow, sales manager at Rainbow Homes, added: “The properties offer stunning views across the Pendle countryside as well as providing great access to motorways, amenities, schools and an award-winning college.

“It’s not surprising that the development has proven popular with Burnley families and professionals seeking a newly built home, and with Rainbow’s part exchange package I’m sure the remaining 12 properties will soon sell out.”

Properties at the Vale Mews development have been designed by architects Hurd Rolland Partnership and are available for sale through Barrowford-based Petty’s Estate agents.
