Ian Lawrence from Norbord’s South Molton plant is celebrating after cycling the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100.

The Norbord technical manager spent months training hard to prepare for the event and raised more than £1,300 for Micro and Anophthalmic Children’s Society (MACS). The charity offers support to both children and their families born without or undeveloped eyes.

Mr Lawrence said: “Training and preparation went well before the race but on the day organisers were forced to remove two hills from the route due to safety concerns. Riding through closed roads in London was a great experience and it was lovely to see a number of iconic sites including Parliament Square, Piccadilly Circus, Harrods and The Shard on my way.”
