Mirka UK will be presenting a host of dust-free sanding solutions at the National Painting and Decorating Show this year on Stand 77/78.
The company will showcase several products that assist in dust-free sanding, including the DEROS, a light electric sanding machine that features a brushless motor combined with patented driving technology.
The sander plugs into an ordinary power supply, making it easy to move around, and is suitable for multiple sanding operations, producing a highly effective smooth finish. It delivers a rapid, efficient, consistently powerful performance comparable to a conventional 500W electric machine, even under heavy load, and is economical to use, reducing energy costs.
Its ‘closed construction’ prevents dust from entering the motor, avoiding typical wear and tear damage experienced by electric machines. DEROS’ low profile delivers good control over the sanding process and its two-hand, ergonomic grip, effective for heavy sanding applications, combined with its low noise and vibration levels, reduces arm fatigue and minimises the risk of Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome.
Mirka’s next-generation dust-free Abranet Ace will also be on display, designed to increase production and speed for tougher, more demanding sanding applications while reducing costs. With a grit range of P80 – P800, this premium net product features ceramic grains that deliver a faster, more aggressive sanding operation. The improved robust grain impregnation prolongs the life and ensures fewer sanding defects and less grain breakage. The tougher velour backing provides better disc grip adhesion and enhanced edge wear, making Abranet Ace more effective and longer lasting, and its highly visible reverse side print pattern is much more user-friendly.
In addition, a selection of hand tools will be on display including the Mirka Handy. This has been designed for comfort and ease of use for the user when sanding plaster from walls and ceilings. It is equipped with holes on top for optimised dust extraction and air flow, creating a dust-free work environment. The sander's ergonomic design allows the user to have a comfortable grip when operating the product.
