Merchants call for extended boiler scrappage scheme

Published:  14 October, 2009

LONDON: The Builders Merchant Federation is supporting calls for a government funded enhanced boiler scrappage scheme. The federation said the scheme should beadopted as a low carbon initiative and go further than its original target of 4.5m replacement boilers. Plumbers' merchant Mick Williams started the campaign, which now also has a Downing Street e-petition.
