B&Q to boost customer loyalty with new app

B&Q has launched the B&Q Club app designed on the back of research from Google that shows 64% of UK smartphone owners use their devices when in-store.
B&Q wants the app to make shopping easier for loyal customers and will enable them to redeem points and offers through their mobiles without the need for using traditional paper forms.
Grapple has developed the app, which will be available to B&Q Club members. B&Q will add point of sale scanners in stores later in the year to speed the process, though staff will be required to manually enter barcode numbers until then.
