£23m Doncaster housing scheme

Published:  23 January, 2013

Plans for Carr Lodge have been lodged with Doncaster Borough Council for 334 houses. Keepmoat will build the first phase of the £23m low-carbon community housing scheme in Doncaster hopes work can start in March.

The Homes and Communities Agency has brought the regeneration scheme forward under the government's Accelerated Land Delivery Programme. The first phase of the development is for 172 houses at Carr Lodge in Doncaster. A further 132 larger homes and 30 self-build housing plots will also be delivered with support from Strata Homes.

The housing project will be Doncaster's second low-carbon community and will consist of 1,500 mixed tenure houses. The development is expected to take three years to complete.
