Climate Energy gains Green Deal authorisation

Published:  17 January, 2013

Climate Energy, one of the UK's major carbon reduction groups, has received authorisation from Ed Davey, Secretary of State, to act as a Green Deal Provider for both domestic and non-domestic work.

Climate Energy will now be added to the Register of Green Deal Providers in accordance with Regulation Eight of the Green Deal Framework Regulations 2012.

Garry Worthington, head of Green Deal at Climate Energy, said: "We have been working hard to achieve this status over the past six months and we are now well advanced in our operational infrastructure to manage and deliver Green Deal schemes.

"Over the past few years we have helped hundreds of local authorities and housing providers as well as thousands of homeowners to improve the energy-efficiency of their properties and this approval from Ed Davey will allow us to continue to do this, cutting fuel bills and reducing carbon emissions."
