Mulalley wins leisure centre contract

Essex contractor Mulalley has won the job to build a leisure centre in Stratford. London's Newham council approved plans to demolish the existing swimming pool.

Asbestos removal will start soon ahead of demolition of the former West Ham Municipal Baths building. Building work is expected to begin on the site in July with up to £14.7m of council budget set aside for the scheme.
