F&P Wholesale promotes Knight to director

F&P Wholesale has promoted Shane Knight to the position of marketing and development director. Mr Knight began his career working for a plumbing and heating contractor before joining Tricom – the founding brand name for F&P Wholesale – in 1990 as a warehouseman.
Mr Knight then took on the role of branch manager at F&P Wholesale’s Camberley Distribution Centre, a position he held for seven years. Re-joining F & P Wholesale in 2007 as a sales manager, Mr Knight looked after national accounts before progressing to key accounts director for the company in 2009.
Having taken on showing various new projects and developing ideas in his previous role at F&P Wholesale, Mr Knight has since been promoted to marketing and development director and will now focus heavily on the development of the company’s sanitaryware and fires product offering. In addition, he will also be responsible for all marketing aspects of the business, including websites, promotions, public relations, customer data and product literature.
On starting his new position, Mr Knight said: “I’m extremely proud to take on my new role and responsibilities at F & P Wholesale. We are constantly in touch with our customers and keep our fingers firmly on the industry pulse to ensure our product offering reflects current requirements and demands. I’m really looking forward to working with my colleagues in supporting and developing our product ranges to build upon the strong relationships with our existing and new customers. We are also using this opportunity to encourage and build new relationships with our supplier partners and demonstrate to them why F&P Wholesale is the independents merchants’ first choice for heating, plumbing and bathroom products.”
