Four more branches for Parkers

Published:  03 December, 2012

SUSSEX/KENT: Parker Building Supplies, the South East-based independent builders' merchant has completed the acquisition of four Saint Gobain branches in Faversham Maidstone Bexhill and Hastings.

These heavyside and timber depots will make a total of 13 branches for Parkers, further extending its regional network and enabling the company to provide an even better service for its customers, according to financial director Stewart Pierce.

The sites comprise former Build Center and Jewson branches, each including a main depot, large heavyside yard and timber store. A full branch refurbishment programme is planned for 2013.

"We have maintained staffing levels to ensure that regular customers will be assisted by familiar faces, and will be recruiting additional staff members to maintain our quality of service," said Mr Pierce.
