Lifting away confusion

LONDON: CFTS has added a short explanatory film clip to its website to provide fork truck users with the information they need about Thorough Examinations – a legal requirement for any truck aged 12 months or older.
“With more and more managers taking on additional roles, keeping up with legislation for fork lift trucks and the increasing paper trail it creates, is challenging to say the least,” says CFTS chairman John Chappell.
“Because of this, many truck users are confused about the best way of meeting the statutory requirement for Thorough Examinations. However, it needn’t be like that. That’s why we have produced the video for companies unclear about Thorough Examinations, or determined to get best value for money.”
“Like the CFTS Thorough Examination itself, the short video has been designed to be easy-to-follow, clear and concise.
“Thorough Examinations are about much more than complying with the law. The video highlights the wider benefits of choosing a company accredited to the CFTS Thorough Examination scheme, such as comprehensive inspection leading to enhanced safety and greater productivity.”
