New marketing director for Wienerberger

CHEADLE: Wienerberger UK has appointed Annette Forster as its new director of marketing, as the organisation turns a strategic corner in the UK with a substantial investment in marketing.

Overseeing the roof, wall and landscaping categories, Ms Forster will drive the company’s emphasis on building solutions and implement a new communications and brand-building programme. Working to put Wienerberger on the map in the UK, Ms Forster will be making sure the industry knows it is the one to watch in 2013 and beyond.

With product management also included in her remit, Ms Forster will set the tone for the vast array of product benefits and added value that can be achieved by creating demand, growing categories and delivering value for customers through a Wienerberger solution.

Coming from a strategic marketing background, Ms Forster's previous roles have included group marketing director at European car part manufacturer, Klarius Group, commercial leader at plastics manufacturer, Victrex and marketing manager at paper giant Sappi.

All of her previous roles have shared the common theme of emphasising brand equity and building brands from a commodity proposition to consumer facing.
