Contractors named for London student-housing sites

LONDON: Carlyle Group has named the successful contractors for three student-accommodation developments in the capital, as part of its Pure Student Living joint venture with Generation Estates.

Mace will construct Pure City in Islington; Elliott Thomas will build Pure Bankside in Southwark; and Morgan Sindall has been appointed for Pure Hammersmith, at the site of the former Hammersmith Palais music venue. Carlyle Group said the developments were worth some £300m and be delivered during 2013 and 2014.
