Red ribbon cut at refurbished BSS branch

Published:  24 August, 2012

NORTHAMPTON: BSS Industrial continues its recent refurbishment program with the opening of a new and improved branch in Northampton. The red ribbon was cut by Sales and Operations Director Peter Sullivan, as one of his last responsibilities before retiring at the end of August.

The refurbished branch has a brand new trade counter area which promises a more retail focused shopping experience to give customers increased freedom of choice. Customers can peruse supplier promotional areas and see products included in the popular 'Heavyweight Offers' to ensure they pick up everything they need in a single visit. Other simple changes, such as improving the car park, will also make life easier for customers visiting the branch on a regular basis.

Mervyn Pennell, Branch Manager at BSS Northampton, said: "The refurbishment of BSS Northampton will make a big difference to our customers - just having improved access to products, which they can see and handle without having to ask staff to pick them from the warehouse, will undoubtedly create a better shopping experience."

Peter Sullivan, Sales and Operations Director at BSS Industrial, added: "It was an honour for me to cut the ribbon at the opening of the new trade counter as this was part of my territory when I was a Regional Director. After 34 years with the business it has been hard to hand things over, but I'm glad I could leave on a high note with a number of branches such as Northampton thriving after receiving a fantastic new trade counter.

The new Northampton branch is located at Riverside Way, Bedford Road, NN1 5NX.
