LONDON: Wandsworth council has approved planning for 3000 houses at two projects.

The approvals included go-ahead for the outline application for the regeneration of the New Covent Garden Market site, which will see the creation of 2491 houses and a 200-bed hotel on a 25-hetare part of the site of the market.

The second approval was for a detailed application for the KPF-designed One Nine Elms scheme from developer CIT and Green Properties, which will see the replacement of a 1970s tower block on Nine Elms lane with two towers of 58 and 43 storeys.
