F & P Wholesale appoints new manager for North

Published:  06 June, 2012

BRISTOL: F & P Wholesale has appointed David Norman as account manager for the North region.

Based at F & P Wholesale’s Tyne Tunnel distribution centre - one of 11 located strategically around the country - Mr Norman will be responsible for working closely with key accounts and developing new business opportunities. He will also be supporting the Wakefield branch, covering Keighley and Skipton, and joins the company with five years industry experience - having previously worked for tools specialists, Rothenberger.

Upon joining F & P Wholesale, Mr Norman said: “For the past 5 years I have been working very closely with all of F & P Wholesale’s main customers, which means I am looking forward to speaking to some familiar independent merchants as I settle in to my new role within the sales team.

“I’m also particularly pleased to be supporting both Gary Youll, branch manager of the Tyne Tunnel distribution centre and Carl Adcock, branch manager of Wakefield, in my new role. Covering both branches gives me a great opportunity to develop new contacts, as well as looking after some of F & P’s longest standing customers in the North of the country.”

Chris O’Donnell, sales director for F & P Wholesale’s North Region, commented: “We are delighted to welcome David to the Tyne Tunnel and Wakefield distribution centres as he starts his role as account manager for the North region. His in-depth understanding of the independent merchant sector means he is in tune with our customers and their daily requirements for fast, efficient service and ‘one tomorrow’ product deliveries.

“I believe he will be a huge asset to F & P Wholesale and on behalf of everyone within the business, I would like to wish him every success in his future career with F & P.”
