Wyvis Roofing sold to managers

INVERNESS: Wyvis Roofing, the roofing subsidiary of collapsed Scottish construction firm UBC has been sold to its former managers.

Willie Sharp, managing director of Wyvis Roofing said: “We are of course delighted that Wyvis Roofing can continue with business as usual and the entire team are now all 100% focussed on taking the business forward as a standalone entity.”

Almost 240 staff were laid off at offices in Inverness, Glasgow, Dundee, Bathgate, Stornoway and South Uist when administrators Zolfo Cooper took over the running of UBC Group earlier this month.
