Lanes wins Thames contract

SALFORD: Drain specialist, the Lanes Group has won a contract worth £216m to service Thames Water's network. 

Lanes will handle emergency blockage clearance and remedial drainage work in the Thames Valley and north London. The operation will be run from Lanes' base in Slough, Berkshire.

The deal is for three years with the option to extend to eight years. Director Andy Brierley, managing director of Lanes Group's sewer renovations division, said: "This is our biggest win to-date, and comes after a rigorous tender process which took 18 months of hard work and planning."
