Mulbury Homes secures £1m deal from Arcon Housing Association

LYMM: Affordable housing developer Mulbury Homes has secured a contract for a £1m scheme in Greater Manchester.

Mulbury has been appointed by Arcon Housing Association to develop nine houses at two sites on Derbyshire Avenue, Stretford. The development, funded by a grant from the Homes and Communities Agency, will have five, three-bedroom properties on one site and four on the other, 100 yards away. It is expected to be completed by early next year.

The sites have been vacant for several years following the demolition of run-down properties. Mulbury director Greg Mulligan said: "This scheme will deliver energy-efficient family homes and bring these two neglected parcels of land back into use."
