Ironmongery Direct half year results

HOCKLEY: Ironmongery Direct, the mail order and e-commerce trade supplier, reported a 36% increase in turnover to £ 4.4617m in its half-year results. Operating profit was up 62% to £105.4k on 2008.
Wayne Lysaght-Mason, managing director said: "We are now definitely on track to break last year's records for sales and profit. We are aiming to boost turnover this year to over £10 million, that's an increase of 40%."
The acquisition of a new 2,800m2 warehouse increased stock available and range. The company has inventory of 11,500 products available for next day delivery.
In January, Ironmongery Direct expanded its product range with 2000 lines that include brands such as Reisser, Spax, and Kaba.
