Bostik wins Jewson supplier of the year

Published:  20 February, 2012

UK: Bostik UK has been awarded the Light Building Materials ‘Supplier of the Year Award’ at Jewson’s annual conference and supplier exhibition earlier this month.

The award was presented to Bostik’s managing director, Tony Davison, and director (construction and consumer), Chris Alderson, by Jewson’s managing director, Peter Hindle MBE, after the company invested significantly in growing its partnership with the builders’ merchant at both a central and local level.

On winning the award, Tony Davison from Bostik UK, comments: “It is a fantastic achievement to have picked up the award in a category where there was considerable competition. We pride ourselves on building strong, proactive working relationships with all of our partners, ensuring the right support is given at every level and investing in key areas such as merchandising, POS, promotions and staff training.

“We are proud to have been recognised by Jewson with this award and look forward to continuing to work in successful partnership with them for many years to come.”

Andy Moseley, market director of LBM, commented: “Jewson wishes to align itself more closely with suppliers who fully support and invest in our Category Management approach where the focus is clearly on our trade customers. Bostik was recognised for their overall investment in our business and the strengthening of key relationships – not only centrally with the Category Team but with all Jewson branches at a practical level.”
